Contemporary and ancient art will meet at the Rappahannock Library May 2. Art classes 1 and 2 of the Rappahannock County High School will exhibit works done in pencil, water colors, pastels, oils and textile paintings. This is the second year an art class has been offered at the school and 14 students, under the direction of Mrs. T. Morgan Johnston, are participating.
The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Artmobile will be stationed on the Library grounds from Sunday, May 2 through Friday, May 7, except Monday. The exhibition will make up 'Dragons and Dynasties; Art From China” with pieces of art more than 3,000 years old. The 1,200 year-old jar, for example, was made in the T’ang Dynasty.
