mittee would recommend purchasing of new books according to different reviews. Approval was made for new books to be added, as recommended. Notification of new books will be made to the public in this column. Mr. E. M. Jones reported on the work that has been done on the grounds and building and plans were discussed for further improvement. Under new business Mrs. Johnson outlined the provisions being made for the visit of the Virginia Museum Artmobile from May 2 through May 7, and the exhibit of art from the High School art classes on the same dates. It was agreed that it is the role of the entire Board to involve themselves in this project which is in direct line of its over all plan for service t6 the cultural life of the community.
Special plans are being made for school children to visit the Artmobile during the morning hours and Mr. Norton affirmed that this will be made possible. The Historical Society will be invited to hold its first County Historical Fair at the library during the week-end of July 4. After added discussion on ways and means of furthering interest and participation in this county-wide project the meeting was adjourned. The Board found satisfaction in progress made but expresses hope that many more will take advantage of its library with all its phases. Present library hours are Saturday from 10 to 12 and Wednesday afternoons from 2 to 5.
