William Magee of Amissville ' was not injured when the 64 Volkswagen he was driving went out of control on Route 729, ran up an embankment and struck a stone wall. The accident occurred 4.6 miles south of Ben Venue April 11 at 1. a.m., according to Trooper Paul P. Dicks. The Volkswagen was owned by Harry Meades.

Viewtown House
Destroyed by Fire
A house on the farm of Turner Settle near Viewtown was completely destroyed by fire Tuesday afternoon. Occupants reportedly lost all of their furniture and clothing. Amissville and Castleton Fire Companies answered the alarm, but the fire was too advanced to save the building. However, the firemen did keep the fire from spreading to a nearby woods. Firemen were uncertain as to the identity of the family living in the house.
