Charlie a Cloud
Charlie Hamilton Cloud, age 70, of Sperryvllle, Va„ died suddenly on Friday, January 28, 1966. He had lived most of his life here and was employed by the Virginia De-. partment of Highways, re-! tiring about five years ago.; He was the spn of the late Baylus Cloud and the late Ada Whorton Cloud of Rappahannock County. He was a veteran of World War I serving overseas and did combat duty in both France and Belgium. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sylvia Louise Jenkins Cloud, three daughters, Mrs. Eugene Presley, Shaw Air Force Base, S. C., Mrs. Tasker Woodward of Culpeper and Mrs. Rannie Burke of Arlington; two sons, Dearl H. Cloud of Arlington and PFC Joseph >E. Cloud of U. S. Army, Korea Also one brother, John Cloud of Amis8ville and two sisters, Mrs. Polly Compton of Castleton and Mrs. Clyde Maphis of Winchester; and eleven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Beb. 3rd., from the Geest Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Kindred of Amissville officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Memory Gardens of Culpeper County. Those serving as pallbearers will be Tommy and Carlton Spicer, Johnnie Jenkins, Charles Compton, John T. Cloud, Roy Whorton. Edward Gore and Jimmy Falls.
