The Rev. Dabney Carr of Lafayette Mill, Pa. was an overnight guest Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer. Me was enroute to his home after attending a Council in Charlottesville. Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Sisk, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Sisk, Mrs. Frances Pullen and daughters Diane and Sue recently spent the day in Falls Church, the guests Of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wharton and Mr. and Mrs. William Sisk. Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Sisk have been spending a six weeks leave between assignments with Mr. Sisk’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Sisk, oefore leaving for La Paz, Bolivia where Mr, Sisk has a position with the American Embassy. Robert E. (Sam) Miller was :aken ill Saturday at his home tear Woodville and is now a )atient in the Newton D. Baker hospital in Martinsburg, W. Va. for treatment.

Members of the Sperryville Bridge Club were entertained Friday night by Mrs. Elmo D. Flynt at her home in Washington. Those present were Mrs. Brown Miller, Mrs. I. O. Wolf, Mrs. M. B. Quaintance, Mrs. E. V. Goddard, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. R. E. Thompsen, Mrs. Lucio Kilby, Mrs. Irving Kilby, Mrs. Roy Reeve, Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Mrs. J. P. Snead, Jr. and Mrs. R. E. Patzig. Prizes were won by Mrs. Patzig, Mrs. Quaintance, Mrs. Goddard and Mrs. Miller.
