The Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company of Virginia announced this week that it has formulated plans to place in effect certain service improvements and reduced rates relating to the State Corporation Comm i s s i o n ’ s order of December 29, 1965. Lower intrastate long distance rates were introduced on January 1, 1966, resulting in annual savings to C&P customers of approximately $740, 000. Hold Dinner March 4
Robert J. Corber, Virginia Republican State Chairman, announced today that the first of a planned series of fund raising dinners by the State Central Committee will be held Friday, March 4, in the Holiday Inn East, Winchester, commencing at 7:30 p.m. The Winchester Republican Committee and City Chairman E.R. Huntsberry, Jr., are working with the State Committee on the event. A 6:30 p.m. reception precedes the *66 kick-off dinner.
