Mrs. iris Brooke and Mrs. Norman Wilbur took Mrs. George Thornhill to Alexandria on Saturday, Feb. 19, to visit her sister Mrs. W. W. Curtis who Is ill in an Alexandria- Hospital. Mrs. William Rothenburg of Baltimore spent last week visiting her niece Mrs. John Keys and family while Mr. Keys is in a hospital. This week Mrs. Keys’ brother Robert Altizer of Waynesboro is visiting her. The Rev! W. B. Dennis’ guests oh Sunday of last week were his sons and families, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Dennis of Falls Church and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dennis of Culpeper.
Meades Wins Foursome With Low of 69
Harry Meades of Amissville, who is spending the winter in Florida, is playing the central Florida golf circuit. Last week Mr. Meades teamed with My? tie Hager to win the Ridge Manor Country Club Winter Scotch Foursome with a low ball of 69. Last Wednesday, Mr. Meades was at Palm Beach Gardens to watch the Seniors P. G. A. Tournament.
Internal Revenue Issues Document on Tips
James p. Boyle, District Director of Internal Revenue for the State of Virginia announced today that Document No. 5640 (1-66) dealing with reporting tips for Federal tax purposes is available at all Internal Revenue Offices. This document contains the latest instructions concerning when, how and where employees should report tips.
Failure to report tips may subject the employee to a penalty equal to 50 percent of the tax, Mr. Boyle said. All persons desiring copies of Document No. 5640 should contact their nearest Internal Revenue Office.
