Mrs. Emory Russell entertained the Flint Hill Bridge Club with guests Monday evening at her home. Present were Mrs. John S. Browning, Mrs. Paul Miller, Mrs. Harry Lee Smith, Mrs. Wallace Russell, Mrs. T. L. Eastham, Mrs. James Massie, Mrs. Lock Bur ford, Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Mrs. Joel Jenkfns, Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr., Mrs. B. j] Wood and Mrs. Edward E. Clark. Prizes were won by the first four named.

Committee announced today the District’s JeffersonJackson Day Fund Raising dinner will be held at the Thomas Jefferson Inn here the night of Saturday April the 16th. Williams was appointed Chairman of the JeffersonJackson Day Dinner Committee by James W. Fletcher, Chairman of the 7th District Committee. This will be the first time that the 7th District Democratic Committee has ever held such a fund-raising dinner. Charlottesville and the several counties east of the Blue Ridge were members of the '8th District until last fall’s reapportionment. Such an event has been held annually in the 8th District for many years.
