NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Sections 29-125, 29-126 and 29-127 of the Code of Virginia, the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries on February 19, 1966 adopted the following Amendment to Regulation 2.
It shall be lawful to hunt bearded turkeys only, statewide, from April 23 to May 6, 1966, dates inclusive, from one-half hour before sunrise to 10 o’clock a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) except in the counties of Accomack, Buchanan, Buckingham, Charlotte, Dickenson, Gloucester, Goochland, Greensville, Halifax, Isle of Wight, James City, King and Queen, King William, Lancaster, Lee, Louisa, Mathews, Middlesex, Nansemond, Northampton, Northumberland, Richmond, Russell, Scott, Sussex, Westmoreland and Wise; and in the cities of Chesapeake and Virginia Beach; and on Clinch Mountain Wildlife Management Area in . Smyth and Tazewell counties and ; Hidden Valley Wildlife Management Area in Washington county, which shall be closed to such hunting. Bearded turkeys shall be hunted by calling. It shall be unlawful to use dogs, or organise drives for the purpose of hunting. This shall become effective April 23, 1966.
