Waymond Lester Utz, 85, of Etlan, died Monday, February 28, 1966 at a Charlottesville hospital. Survivors include two sons: Lester W. Utz, Culpeper, Levi L. Utz, Syria; three daughters: Mrs. Roy C. Lillard, Etlan, Mrs. Johnnie P. Lillard, Etlan, Mrs. L. H. Jenkins, Washington, two sisters; Mrs. Nora Leathers, Syria, Mrs. Ernest Brown, Stevensburg; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Etlan Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. B. B. Kent. Burial was in Etlan Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Maury L. Jenkins, Wilson Utz, Randolph Jenkins, Clarence Jenkins, Robert Lillard, Nelson Nethers, Fred Coppage and W. E. Coates. Clore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Daisy Herndon

Mrs. Daisy Ellen Herndon, 82, died Tuesday March 1, 1966 at her home in Culpeper. Survivors include two sons; Haywood S. Herndon, Washington, D. C., Robert B. Herndon, Culpeper; two daughters: Mrs. Maxwell Weakley, Culpeper, Mrs. T. C. Barron, Viewtown; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday by Elder Crawford. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, Virginia. Active pallbearers will be Hugh Ryan Sr., William Johnson, Harry Dulaney, Horace Johnson, Claude Guinn, Russell Guinn, and Winnie White, Jr.
