Sylvan Wardon Carver, 62, of Route 1, Sperryville Road, died at his residence on Saturday, April 2, 1966, after a long period of declining health, He was a contract painter and the son of the late Charlie W. Carver and Mrs. Annie Legg Carver of Fauquier County.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julia Brown Carver; 3 sisters, Mrs. Cornelia O’Hara of Upperville; Mrs. Ann Nicholson of Baltimore and Mrs. Selma Powers of Bethesda, Md.; and a brother, Claude Carver of Upperville. A funeral service was conducted on Tuesday morning, at 11 o’clock from the Geest Funeral Chapel with Rev.Dott Bryan of the Novum Baptist Church, officiating. Interment ! was held in the Brown family I section of Sperryvillfe Ceme- ! tery. Pallbearers were Frank Brown, James Bennett, Richard A. Brown, Jack Weaver, i Charlie Butler and Robert ] Scott.
