DavidS. Butler David Shirk Butler of War > renton died at Ida residence ' August 30, 1966. Mr. Butler, 49, was Resident Engineer for die Highway Department, Warrenton office, serving Fauquier and Rappahannock Counties. He assumed this position in September 1962. He was born in Indianapolis, Ind. and attended Purdue University. He began work with the Highway Department in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army in World War n, spending two years with the Chinese Army in India. He was discharged as a major and pro moced to Lt. Col. in the U. S. Army Reserves to which he belonged from 1946-54. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bess Wooding Butler; three daughters, Joanne, Janet and Judith, all of the home address; one brother, Charles T.
