Kendrick, Jr. of Roanoke, Miss Minnie Williams of Los Angeles, Calif, and Mrs Margaret Hudson of Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Walk er and daughter Joyce of Falls Church were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. The W. S. C. S. met Thursday evening at the home of Mrs Lock Burford. Mrs. E. M. East ham, co-hostess, conducted the program on "Women of the Bible". Present were Mrs Edward Pruitt,* Mrs. Ida Trump, Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. Carson Lillard, Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr., Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr., Mrs. Edward E. Clark and Mrs. Paul Miller.
Roger Allen Welch will return to V.P.I. in Blacksburg for his second year and William Roland Welch, Jr. will enter Monroe College at Mid dletown. They are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Welch. Mr. and Mrs. Emory Russell and son Terry have recently returned from a week's vacation at Ocean City, N. J. Miss Addle Boyd was a guest for the day Monday of Miss Lucy Fisher at Woodville. Mrs^ Thelma Russell with Mr. rfnd Mrs. Patterson Biggs of Harrisonburg spent from Tuesday until Sunday visitjng Mr. and Mrs. William Dennis and family at Jackson, S. C., returning via Myrtle Beach, S. C. and Nags Head, N. C. Mrs. Regina Bradford spent several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. James R. John son in Front Royal. Mrs. W. A. Moore spent a few days last week with her daugh ter Miss Charlotte Moore and Miss Dorothy Moore at their apartment in Vienna.

Eddie Edmonds, son of Mrs. Earle Edmonds and the late Mr. Edmonds will leave September 2 to enter Chowan Junior College at Murfreesboro, North Carolina. Mrs. Edmonds will leave September 18 where she has enrolled at Mary Washington College at Fredericksburg.
