The Amissville RuritanClub joins Ruritan Clubs over the nation in observance of National Ruritan Week, November 1-7. Ruritan is a rural community service organization which ci cates a better understanding among people through community service, fellowship and goodwill. Ruritan was founded in Holland, Va. in 1928 and has spread through 22 states with a total of 1055 clubs. It is the sixth largest civic organization in America. Ruritan supper meetings are held once each month at which time local problems are discussed and a program is usually held, p "ritane believe that genuine happiness -.ornes from doing things for others. They feel that Americans should understand better what it means to be an American. Amissville Ruritan Club has the following rural need committees and members of each; rural church, Rev.
