Projects of community services rendered by this club are the maintenance of a community dump (they are at present attempting to purchase a larger one); maintained a night light at the Amissville fire house; sponsored a little league baseball team; sponsored and organized a Boy Scout Troop for the area; sponsored a Christmas lighting contest; presented awards to the county high school graduates.
President of the Amissville Club is T. C. Barron; vicepresident, L. J. Davis; secretary, Jerry Curtis and treasurer, Charlie Priest. The club has 33 members. The district convention will be held in Culpeper Friday, November 4. It starts at noon at the Methodist Church and a banquet Will be held at Culpeper fire house at t:X> p. m. The Amissville Club Is planning the annual Ladles Night dinner meeting November 16 at the local fire hall.
