Miss Evelyn Beatty of Front Royal was afterded a blue ribbon on 4 painting of Fletcher's Mill near Sperryville at the Warren County Fair this season past. The old mill is i favorite subject of artists anc photographers alike. Fletcher’s Mill stands neai Erin, the home of the late Mr. and Mrs. James H. Fletcher, now owned by their daugh ter Mrs. Eugene Wood and Mr Wood. For many years Mr, Fletcher operated the mill anc flour, meal and feeds were sold in the stores in Rappahannock and adjoining counties Many folks came from distances to buy the excellem water-ground corn meal. Mrs Eliza Clopton Anderson anc her husband Henry of Alexandria were special customers at the Smedley Store where it was sold.
