Decher Receives Athletic Awards I- irst Cljssmajilseni o r) John Hrich Decher III of Amiss . i 11 e has been named recipient af two awards for significant achievement in athletics at the Virginia Military Institute. Decher, who received his bachelor’s degree in histor\ at ceremonies Sundae, was awarded the Hardin Massie Award tor the track and field athlete best exemplifying the spirit of YMI an awards review Iriday. In addition, he was presented the Intercollegiate Sports (ma |or) Award tor allround excellance in intercollegiate athletics.
The presentations were made by J. Randolph Iucker of Richmond, president of the VMI Board of Visitors, and Major General George R. B. Shell, YMI superintendent.
