Crop Reporting Service, which is a joint function of VDAC and' USDA, will conduct the survey in Virginia. USDA enumerators will canvass farms in selected areas to obtain information about land use, planted acres, and types of crops, livestock numbers, farm labor, and wages. Land segments to be visited will be scientifically chosen, and all farmers operating with in these areas will be asked about their agricultural activities.
T. L. Stuart, state statistician, says that the Virginia Crop Reporting Service and other state offices of the Statistical Reporting Service will summarize their enumerator and farmer reports and then forward the compiled material to the Crop Reporting Board in Washington for processing and subsequent release to the public
