At Local Schools
Friday, January 31, has been set aside as Parent-Teacher Conference Day in Rappahannock County Schools. All parents arc cordially invited and urged to visit their child’* or children's school on this day. The teacheis will be in their classrooms to receive visitors between 10 a m. and 12 noon and between 12:30 and 3 p.m. There will be no school Friday for students.
Deer Kill May Exceed Last Year’s
A 10 percent increase in the deer kill in the piedmont and northern Virginia areas may put the 19t>H 09 Virginia deer kill above the 24,939 taken in the state last year, reports Game Commission Game Division Chief R. II. Cross. Such an increase would be in spite of a reduction in the doe harvest statewide and a I resulting slight drop in the western harvest.
