Elder W. EL Essex

Elder William Ernest Essex of Lebanon, Indiana died January 10, 1969. He was 79, and had been a Regular Baptist Minister for 43 years. He was well known in this area where he had often been guest minister at Regular Baptist churches.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hazel Funkhouser Essex; three daughters, Ada Bainbridge, Pauline Heckman and Anna Clements; six sons, Elder Sherman Essex, Harold, George, Ernest, Jr., Lester and Russell; a brother, George Essex; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Kouns and Mrs. Nora Baker; twenty-seven grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

A funeral service was held at Mountain Run Regular Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
