refrigeration. Most important is don’t open the refrigerator door more often than necessary. With each opening the air in the refrigerator is warmed and the mechanism must work to cool it again. Close the door gently to protect the latch.
Don’t crowd the refrigerator. This interferes with the circulation of air and overworks the mechanism to maintain a cold temperature. Remove store wrappings from foods before putting them in the refrigerates/; paper acts as insulation. Many pre-packaged foods, however, such as frozen foods, cheese, cold meats, cold cuts and butter store safely in their original containers. Use leftovers, promptly, while they are still fresh. Joint Birthday Dinner
A birthday dinner was held Sunday, February 23, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Mitchell at Amissville, in honor of Mrs. Mitchell and other daughter Mrs. W. Terrell Sweetser of Rockville, Md. Others present were Mr. Terrell and sons Todd, Glenn and Terry.
