Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Whittaker, Jr. of Baltimore were Friday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Clarke. Their Saturday dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Verling and daughter Shelley of Rhoadesville.
Preston Pulliam of Warrenton and Miss Carol Lee Quaintance of Mary Washington College were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Wood.
Ashby Butler and Lester Wayland were in Martinsburg, West Virginia on Wednesday to visit Clarence Butler at the Newton D. Baker Hospital.

The meeting date of the Chester Gap Citizens Association has been changed from the first Tuesday of each month to the second Monday of each month. Please note change of time. On February 21st, Mrs. Minnie Williams and Edward Goranson left by plane from Washington, D. C. for StS Petersburg, Fla. where they spent the week-end with Mr. Goranson’s mother Mrs. Lydia Goranson, his brother Allen Goranson and sister Miss Hilda Goranson. They returned on Monday. Mrs. Lonnie Williams entered Warren Memorial Hospital last Tuesday for treatment. Clarence Jones returned to his home Friday from Warren Memorial Hospital where he had been receiving treatment for approximately 12 days. Mrs. Jessie Wines was hostess recently at a bridal shower in honor of Miss Mattie Williams who will be married in early June to Charles Frazier of Chester Gap. About 40 persons attended with several unable to do so sending gifts. Mrs. Edna Williams was hostess at an 8th birthday party for her daughter Rhonda at the fire hall Sunday afternoon. There were 14 children present. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brady and family of Flint Hill were Sunday afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. George Williams.
