In Memoriam In memory of our dear grand- j mother, Lily Clatterbuck, who passed away one year ago, December 9, 1 1969. I We didn’t know when we were hav- 1 ing so much fun That this day would be your last . one. You bade no one a last farewell Or even said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it And only God knows why. We often sit and think of you and remember the day you died. It hurt so much to know we could not say goodbye Before you closed your eyes No one knows our loneliness, a few have seen us weep; We shed our tears with an aching heart while others are asleep. There is a grief that finds no comfort, There are wounds that do not heal. The sorrow buried in our heart is too deep to reveal. We cannot bring past days back when we were together But secret tears and memories will always be with us. For you will live in our thoughts forever. We do not know the pain you bore We did not see you die We only know you went away r And did not say goodbye. I Your loving grandchildren, Mae, Mary, Sandra, ; Steve and Bud
