Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Kidwell have returned to their home after a trip to Italy which included Thanksgiving Dinner in Rome. They also spent several days in Los Angeles, Calif, and visited Mrs. Kidwell’s mother, Mrs. Frank Wirth in San Francisco.

Miss Virginia Hughes returned to her home in Arlington Sunday after spending a week at the Hughes home.

Mr.. and Mrs. Paul Miller spent the weekend with their son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Paul Louis Miller in New Carrollton, Md.

Paul Nichols and sons Andy, Curt and Douglas were Monday supper guests of Mrs. Thelma Russell.

Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Russell and daughter Mary Rebecca of Winchester were Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Patterson Biggs. Mrs. M. H. Brady returned to her home Friday from the Warren Memorial Hospital. Her daughter Mrs. Clarence McCulloch of Falls Church stayed in the Brady home during her absence, returning to her home on Sunday. Saturday evening visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brady of Arlington. Mr. and Mrs. Lake Lester and family of Manassas were Sunday visitors.

Christmas Party

Plans for the Flint Hill Community pre-Christmas party are about complete. Entertainment will be offered by Chuck and Nan Purdue’s selection of folk songs, a performance by Edward Smith, a magician, and group participation in the singing of Christmas carols.

All families (with or without children) of the Flint Hill area are invited to come to the Flint Hill fire hall, Friday, December 18 at 7:30 p.m. Admission charge per family is a homemade Christmas tree ornament with hanger which can be made of tinsel, metal, wood, fruit, nuts, baked sweets, etc. Let your imagination be your guide. Prizes for the most beautiful and the most original ornament will be given. Each family takes home an ornament of its choice, in exchange for the one brought.

Light refreshments will be served.
