Beginning at Mary’s Rock bench mark No. 3614 on top of Blue Ridge Mountain; thence with, the division line between S-H and Piedmont a straight line southeast to the junction of state roads No. 231 and No. 621 (between Ashby Corner and Buckners Corner), thence with the center line of state road No. 621 southeast to the junction of state road No. 609; thence leaving state road No. 621 in a northeasterly direction, a straight line to the intersection of state road No. 621 and Thornton River; thence down the meanders of Thornton River to its intersection with the Rappahannock-Culpeper County boundary line; thence in a southwesterly direction with the Rappahannock-Culpeper County boundary line to the junction of Hazel River and Hughes River below Slate Mills Post Office; thence up the meanders of Hughes River in a northwesterly direction to its intersection with the Rappahannock-Madison County boundary line; thence with the Rappahannock-Madison County boundary line to the top of the Blue Ridge Mountain and corner with Page County; thence in a northeasterly direction with the Rappahannock-Page County boundary line to the point of beginning.

• Beginning at Mary’s Rock bench mark No. 3614 on top of Blue Ridge Mountain; thence in an easterly direction with the S-H line to the intersection of state road No. 621 and Thornton River; thence in a northwesterly direction to the intersection of US highway No. 211-522 and the Covington River near Rediviva; thence in a northwesterly direction a straight line to bench mark No. 1284 on state road No. 622 near a cemetery at the head of Harris Hollow and Gid Brown Hollow; thence a straight line in a northwesterly direction to bench mark No. 3474 on Hogback Mountain and the top of Blue Ridge Mountain on the Rappahannock-Warren County boundary line; thence in a southwesterly direction along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountain following the boundary line between Rappahannock and Warren Counties and Rappahannock and Page Counties to the point of beginning.
Sec. 4. One supervisor shall be elected from each election district created by this ordinance.
Sec. 5. Should any section or provision of this ordinance be decided to be invalid or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section and provision of this ordinance.
Sec. 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption and enactment by the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Virginia; provided, however, that the several election districts of Rappahannock County, Virginia, with boundary lines and names thereof respectively as constituted and known on the day before this ordinance becomes effective shall continue to be represented on the board of supervisors until January 1, 1972. Further, candidates for the office of county supervisor to be elected on November 9, 1971, shall offer for election from the election districts as established by this ordinance.
