ONE thing at a time, And THAT done WELL, Is a VERY good rule; As MANY can tell. In Ephesians 4:11 we find this statement: “He has given us some men as apostles, some as prophets, some as missionaries, some as pastors and teachers.” Notice there is no comma between the pastor and teacher. Does that imply that they fill the same function? That is, are pastors and teachers in the same category; Maybe it depends on what is being taught. “He has given some men as pastors.” Or maybe we could say as preachers. I wonder why one so dedicated would lose ‘the call’. Is it because of the varied vicissitudes of life; discouragement, frustrations, the environment or whatever? I, for one, will miss you, friend. On Sunday mornings I will feel a certain loss when I see a stranger in our pulpit, or maybe an empty one. May the Eternal One guide you and keep you always.
