Annual Culpeper

Art Fair Oct. 2

The tenth annual Culpeper Art Fair is scheduled to be held Saturday, October 2, 1971 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on the lawn of Culpeper County Courthouse. Adults and Juniors (pre-school through high school) are invited to exhibit original works of art created during 1970-71. The fair is open to all artists.

Entries may be made in the following classes: Class I-oils, encaustic, polymers and casein; Class II-Water colors, pastels and Polymers: Class Ill-Mixed media, collage and batik; Class IV-SumiE, oriental watercolors; Class VDrawings and prints; Class VIPhotography; Class VH-Sculpture and ceramics. Advance entry will not be necessary, but exhibitors may check in at the registration table for identification stickers and numbers for judging. Adult entry fee not a member of the Culpeper Art Group, will be $1 for each painting. Junior entry fee will be 25 cents each picture. Judging will take place at 10 a.m. If sales are made, 20 percent of sales will go toward the library. First, second and third place ribbons will be presented both adults and juniors in all classes, and several honorable mentions will be selected.
