The fire companies from Washington, Castleton and Amissville responded to a house fire Monday morning on the farm of R. M. Munro at Laurel Mills. A vacant house was destroyed. Rappahannock Rescue Squad responded to an accident on Route 211 in Washington Sunday and took Mrs. Alice Pullen to Page Memorial Hospital, Luray. It also i responded to both fires attended by Washington Fire Co. Sperryville Rescue Squad took Mrs. H. H. Aylor from Winchester I to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. That night Silas Wallace was taken from his home in Woodville to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Sperryville and Washington fire companies answered an alarm to a brush fire Monday night in Sycamore Hollow on the Taylor property. Amissville Fire Company answered a call November 17 to the Amissville dump where the trash truck caught fire from an electrical short. Amissville Rescue Squad took Thomas Bland from the Acrey Dodson home to Fauquier Hospital early Monday morning. He had been in a traffic crash.
