Va. Museum Gives
Poetry Reading
Ken Letner, Associate Director of Virginia Museum Theatre Arts System will present an evening of poetry readings, “America, Yes or No?”, Tuesday, December 2 at 8 p.m. at Ann Wingfield School in Culpeper sponsored by Culpeper Chapter of Virginia Museum. The public is invited to attend these readings which offer differing views of our nation and its heritage, tracing development of our country from our simple past to more critical times of today. The readings Mr. Letner has selected vary from Frost, Whitman and Sandburg to such contemporary poets as Jack Gilbert, Ginsberg and Ferlinghetti. He emphasizes that readings allow for expression of a great deal of hope for the future.
A graduate qf University of San Francisco, Mr. Letner joined Virginia Museum two years ago, and has performed and directed in (his season’s series, notably lead in “The Sorrows of Frederick the Great.”
