M. E. Jenkins 1
A funeral service for Meade Elton Jenkins, 67, of Remington was held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Clore Funeral Home chapel with burial in Fairview Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Ralph Fowler.
Mr. Jenkins died November 21, 1971 in Staunton. He was a native of Rappahannock County, son of the late Arthur Jenkins. He had lived in Remington for several years, and was a retired employe of Rochester Ropes. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lonie Knight Jenkins of Remington; his mother Mrs. Elizabeth Peyton Jenkins of Winchester; three sons, Billy Jenkins of Culpeper, Jimmy Jenkins of Virginia Beach and Elton Jenkins of Massachusetts; two daughters, Ruth and Mary Jenkins of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mrs. Donald Wilson of Winchester and Mrs. Frances Baker of Berryville; three brothers, Robert Jenkins of Charlottesville and Seth and Arthur Jenkins of Winchester; and five step-children, Mrs. Leon Barth, Thorafare, N. Y., Vernon Knight, Glendora, N. Y., Paul Knight, Blackwood, N. J., W. T. Knight, Fairfield, Ohio and Isaac Knight, Baltimore, Md.
