Mr. and Mrs. Richard Swiger and children Lila, Pam, Ronnie Bryan and Shelia of Akron, Ohio have arrived to spend the holiday and weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Criss and family. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Burner and daughter Faye with Mrs. Johnie Hackley spent Sunday in Charlottesville where they visited Willard Hutto and Randolph Cooke, both patients in hospitals there.
Mr. and Mrs. H. Lee Payne were guests for the weekend with their son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Payne, Jr. in Copper Valley. They were luncheon guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Banes and visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Ray E. Lester in Christiansburg.
Sgt. and Mrs. Jimmy Latham and son Jamie of Landover, Md. were guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Latham at Horner Hill. Robert Armentrout, who has a position in Wilmington, Del. spent the weekend with Mrs. Armentrout at Horner Hill, also.
Miss Sarah Ashworth of Connecticut, a student at Southern Seminary at Beuna Vista, is spending the holiday and weekend with Miss Lizzie Eastham. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Williams entertained with a birthday party Sunday in honor of Russell Hackley. Those present were Mrs. Hackley, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Clark and son Tony, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Suter, Eddie Lee Flock, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hackley and daughter Edie.
The Rev. Fletcher Osborne celebrated his birthday Saturday which he said was his 39th. Afternoon visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Osborne were the Rev. and Mrs. Harold Worley and son of Linden, the Rev. Douglas Canney
