CHAPTER 17. Squirrel.
R17-1. Except as otherwise provided by local legislation and with the specific exceptions provided in the regulations appearing in this chapter, it shall be lawful to hunt squirrel from the second Monday in November through January 31, both dates inclusive.
R17-2, prescribing the open season for squirrel in counties west of the Blue Ridge Mountains, is hereby rescinded.
R17-3. It shall be lawful to hunt squirrel from September 1 through September 15, both dates inclusive, and from the second Monday in November through January 31, both dates inclusive, in the counties of Brunswick (except Camp Pickett Military Reservation) and Lunenburg.
R17-4. It shall be lawful to hunt squirrel from September 15 through September 30, both dates inclusive, and from the second Monday in November through January 31, both dates inclusive, in the counties of Bland, Buchanan, Craig, Dickenson, Lee, Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Pulaskij Russell, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington, Wise and Wythe.
R17-4.1, prescribing the squirrel season for Mecklenburg County, is hereby rescinded.
RI7-5. It shall be lawful to hunt squirrel from September 15 through'October 14 and from the second Monday in November through January 31, both dates inclusive, in the counties of Bedford, Campbell, Halifax and Pittsylvania.
