Miss Johnson was born in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Henry L. and Mary E. Shenk Johnson. She was a governess and teacher and was a member of the Thornton Gap Regular Baptist Church.
Surviving are two brothers, Oscar Johnson of Zanesville, Ohio and Lawrence E. Johnson of Sperry ville; one sister Mrs. Betsy Herral of Chevy Chase, Md. □
