PALMER, manager of Rappahannock Ski Area, announced today that construction of a new chair lift will begin this week. The 2000 foot double chair is manufactured by the Borvig Corporation of New York. The lift is designed to incorporate the latest advances in aerial ski transportation. With a variable speed of up to 400 feet per minute, the new lift will augment the service of the T-Bar on the Intermediate -Expert slope. Completion is scheduled for early December.
