He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Doris Mae Woodward Smith and two sons, James Travis Smith and Armistead Marcus Smith, all of Manassas; two brothers, Charles Edward Smith of Goldsboro, N. C. and Silas Jackson Smith, Amissville; three sisters, Mrs. Virgie Lee Scott of Culpeper, Mrs. Rose Mae Wichterman of Athens, Greece and Mrs. Frances E. Groves of Remington; and a half sister, Mrs. Alice Mae Tharpe of Castleton.
A funeral service, conducted by the Rev. John Hodge of Fredericksburg with the Rev. David Brown assisting, was held Tuesday at Forest Grove Bap> tist Chinch, Viewtown. Interment" was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Tharpe, Harvey Tharpe, Thomas Tharpe, William Tharpe, James Scott and George Thomas Scott.
