AN APPLICANT must be at least 20. Under circumstances considered justifiable by local school authorities, the age limit may be lowered; however, no applicant may take the tests prior to the time that he would have graduated from high school had he remained in school and made normal progress.
A person under 20 must have earned at least eight units of high school credit, excluding health and physical education, to be eligible to take the GEDtests.
