Charles R. Mills of Culpeper was the winner of the grand prize, a 1972 Pinto, give n away Saturday night at the conclusion of the Amissville carnival. He is the son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Curtis of near Amissville. Mrs. Curtis had purchased the winning ticket for him and complained that he had not paid her. The grapevine tells us that he has paid for the ticket and given her a generous tip for providing him the opportunity for his good luck.
Phil Settle of Amissville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Settle, was the recipient of the portable television set.
The four savings bonds went to M. Martin, Baltimore, Md., J. T. Woodward Jr., Castleton, Betty Bailey, Culpeper and Kaye Bennett, Boston, Va.
A pony, donated by Norvel James, was won by Michelle Collins, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.
