Even Jack Anderson after his big alleged “scoop” against Senator Eagleton reviewed his information, withdrew his first slanderous statement, and apologized to Senator Eagleton. That takes a certain amount of character or something. . .
In my article to the Rappahannock News of February 10, 1972, I stated that I did not. intend to get into a newspaper hassle with Randy Carter. Instead, I will from time to time ignore his prattle, or, if he lays himself wide open, as he'did in his article of February 3, 1972, I may inform the Public of his twisting of facts.
