Elise Browning Miller became the bride of Alfred Lee Scopp on Saturday, August 19. The bride is the daughter of Dr. George Tyler Miller of Harrisonburg and the late Mrs. Miller. Dr. and Mrs. Irwin Walter Scopp of New York, N.Y. are parents of the bridegroom.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. James Lincoln in the outdoor chapel at Shrinemont, Orkney Springs, Va.

The bride, wearing an ankle-length peasant dress of tucked cotton with inserts of hairpin lace, was given in marriage by her father. She wore a picture hat trimmed with tulle and matching lace and carried a nosegay of gardenias, white roses, stephanotis and baby’s breath.
