The RCHS cross country team met with Randolph Macon Tuesday and won both the varsity and junior varsity races. The scores again were perfect with our JV’s winning 15-45 and the varsity winning 15-46. The first five places for the JV were Jerry Thomas, Carroll Jenkins, Clifton Jenkins, Andy Nichols and Kevin Raney. Keep on JV’s.
On the varsity squad Charlie Thomas set a new record of 11 minutes and 40 seconds in first place. Bill and Tom Taylor were second and third, in that order, John Summers fourth and Ronnie Nicholson fifth.
The next meet is this Saturday with Stonewall Jackson. It’s to be held at our elementary school at 10
