Richard Talley of Mineral struck a cow on Route 522 south of Sperryville on October 25 at 3:30 a.m. He was driving a 69 Kenworth tractor when he struck the animal, which was owned by Eldon Farm.
A brother and sister in separate vehicles were involved in a collision on Route 211 west of Sperryville at Parkway Gift Shop Sunday evening. Nancy Lane of Woodbridge operating a 66 Ford station wagon had brake failure and struck a 1972 pickup operated by John Lane, also of Woodbridge. John Lane was stopped in a lane of traffic when hit from behind by the station wagon. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $350. These wrecks were investigated by Trooper R.A. Baines.
