Farm Bureau elects
THE ANNUAL membership meeting of the Rappahannock County Farm Bureau was held at Washington, Va. on October 24. Officers elected for the year included president, Ian Pryde; vice president, Mrs. Ian' Pryde; secretary-treasurer, Robert A. Anderson. The following five members were named as directors; Dabney Eastham, Earl Kilby, James Massie, Daniel Noce’, Evan McNear and Gordon Thorhill. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Vest will continue as the insurance advisors for the Virginia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company, as appointed by the officers.
A number of resolutions were adopted at the meeting and these will be introduced to the State Resolutions Committee for consideration and action at the state convention later in November.
AFTER CONSIDERABLE discussion on holding a dinner meeting for the membership or issuing the usual dividend of $5 to each member the group chose to take the refund. In addition each Rappahannock County Farm Bureau member who had Blue Cross-Blue Shield coverage with this group will receive a $3 refund. This is made directly, to the county groups, and as far as is known, Rappahannock is the only chapter which returns the refund to the members. □
