MORE visitors were recorded at Shenandoah National Park this April than any other April on record. The large increase in travel was due to the Easter holidays falling in this month and relatively good weather conditions through out the month. The increase over April a year ago was 36%.

For the calendar year 1973 there have been 447,900 visitors to the Park as compared to 360,800 the previous year through April.
