“For my critical analysis I am comparing this book, ‘Little Vic,’ to ‘National Velvet.’ Both books tell of two people taking a horse and turning him into the race horse he was born to be. Both pony (‘Little Vic’)and Velvet (‘National Velvet’) had determination to win with their mounts. Although these books take place in different countries, they are very much alike. Both books were fine entertainment.
“I am rating this book 100%. (Little Vic) It tells and describes life at a race track. I like the descriptions of how the jockey felt about things. Most of all I liked the attitude of the jockeys toward their horses.”
