Baseball season has begun and the Panthers had their first game Tuesday. They played a good game with much effort but were defeated by Broad Run a AA Division high school. This was not a district game.

Our first scheduled District game is tomorrow, Friday, at 4 p.m. with Montevideo on our home diamond. Plan to stay after school and come give our baseball team some support! A small admission will be charged to help pay the umpire and secure equipment. Adults will be charged 50 cents and students 25.

The SC A met Tuesday and discussed possible uses for their money. Many suggestions were made and possibilities are now being investigated. These funds generally go for a school project of some kind. If you have a suggestion for improvement in your school tell your homeroom representative.

An executive meeting of the Youth Center personnel was held at Tom Metzinger’s home Monday night. By-laws for the Rappahannock County Recreation Association were adopted.

The seniors are busy practicing for the Senior Play entitled “Off The Track.” This should be a great production. A date for presentation has not been set. The “Class of 74” is also involved in preparing for the Senior Trip and for the Prom on April 27. (Those lucky Seniors!)
