The Girls Track Team performed at Strasburg Friday and also brought back another victory. Much effort was put forth and six school records were broken. Katie Pendleton broke two records by runining the 100 in 12.5 and the 220 in 27.8 Mary Hudson broke her own school record in the 440 with 69.5 and Maureen Day cleared the high jump at 5’. Lisa Day ran the 880 in 2:47.3 and the hurdles in 12.5. Katie was high scorer with 18 points. The final score was 52-44.
Miss Speiker took the team to compete in the District Meet Wednesday but results were not ready at press time. Mr. Toth and the Boys Track Team will bo to their District meet Saturday at Broadway.
Our Baseball Team returned home Tuesday night with the great news of defeating Luray. They won by a score of 6-5 and Cecil Smoot scored the winning run in the 8th Inning. Those who got hits
