A REFUSE removal contract was signed in September 1973 with Community Trash Removal, Inc., of Culpeper for $20,000 a year to remove 164 cubic yards of trash from Rappahannock each week.
In addition to the removal of trash, arrangements were made to remove tires, furniture, and other items, too bulky to be compressed, on an as required basis.
In January 1974 additional containers totaling 22 cubic yards were added at Huntly, Scrabble, Chester Gap, and Amissville. This additional capacity has had no noticeable effect on our problem.
