The over - run on the monthly trash bill has not decreased. It is about $500 more each month on the average than the basic contract. Unless some positive action is taken on trash bill for the next fiscal year (1975) will be about 25% higher than last year.
THE citizens of Rappahannock desire to keep taxes in the county low and the Board of Supervisors is carefully receiving the budget with this in mind.
However, it is counterproductive for the Board to be scrutinizing the budget for savings, while at the same time citizens of the county are not paying careful attention to the trash they are taking to the collection points. To keep expenses in line with revenue everyone must co-operate.
