Leaders of the Baptist Church gathered Monday to organize the youth for future service and activity. Jimmy Burke is the director and the first meeting will be held September 7 at 3 p.m. All youth are invited.
Mrs. A. E. Parks was in Springfield Sunday afternoon to attend the 25th wedding anniversary surprise party honoring her stepson and wife, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Parks, Jr., in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Devine. Mrs. Parks Sr. was an overnight guest of her sister, Mrs. S. M. Shelton, in Arlington, returning borne Monday morning. □
