SPERRYVILLE Fire Department elected officers for 1974-75 at its August 7 meeting. John Walker Jenkins was named president, with Donald Gore selected as chief. First assistant chief is Charlie Woodward and Eddie Gore is second assistant chief.
Warren Lee Smith was elected captain and Donald Gore was also selected as treasurer while George Jenkins was named secretary. Steve Leake was elected lieutenant and engineer is Ricky Lillard. The Rev. Ronald Wiley is chaplain .and directors are James W. Fletcher, Roy Leake, John Walker Jenkins, Donald Gore and George Jenkins.
Delegates named to represent the organization at the County Fire Association meetings were Charlie Woodward, George Jenkins and Donald Gore. Alternates are Frank Hitt, Steve Leake and Ricky Lillard.
